Why Shutters?
When it comes to window coverings, you can go with the options your clients expect, or you can introduce them to the impact Marco Shutters can have.
Advantages
Durability
While blinds may work for three to five years, shutters maintain their beauty and function for 15-20 years. And, as room styles change, our classic look never goes out of fashion.
Insulation
Our high-quality materials and our design to ensure a custom fit make shutters by far the best insulator of any window covering you could choose. Not only does it help maintain a consistent indoor climate, it also blocks harmful UV rays from fading furniture and carpets.
Maintenance
Our patented Duraglide louvers never need tightening and our shutters won’t slip or warp. Draperies can be difficult to keep clean, while shutters require little maintenance, and don’t retain odors.
Resale Value
Market trends show homes with indoor shutters sell as much as 10% higher than homes with other window coverings.
Design
Various lengths of hidden Duraglide louvers allow for more control of light, privacy, and outside view. Fine craftsmanship of each shutter, using the moritise and tenon joint structure, complemented by a variety of customized shapes and colors, means we can enhance any design.
Features
Duraglide Louver-Tensioning System
Controlling the light in a room has never been easier, or more stylish. Our innovative and patented system ensures that the louvers remain invisible, are simple to operate, and will never need to be tightened or adjusted. And the best part? Our Duraglide Louvers keep your shutters adjusted exactly where you set them, with no slippage.
Mortise and Tenon Construction
We don’t use the typical “biscuit and dowel” construction found in most indoor shutters. Instead, we craft every shutter by hand using the same “mortise and tenon” joint design used by makers of the most expensive furniture. These superior joints mean your shutters won’t sag or wobble, no matter how long you own them!
Custom Paint and Stain
We’re not limited to a catalog of paint chips when designing your shutters. Here’s our promise. We will match any color or stain in your home, or create your own blend of colors. If you choose paint, we’ll cover those shutters with four coats. If you prefer stain, we’ll use one coat of stain and three coats of lacquer. And the special touch? We hand sand each shutter between every coat of paint or stain for a finish unsurpassed by anything you’ve ever seen.
